We connected with Jenna Stolz to learn more about Bellus Spa at 815 Sutter Street, Ste D.
What is Bellus Spa, how would you describe it to a friend?
A quaint day spa nestled inside the walls of an old fashioned shopping mall in Historic Folsom offering a variety of Advanced Skincare, Full Body Hair Removal for both men and women, Custom Hand Painted Spray Tans, & Massage services.
Why did you start the business? What do you hope to accomplish?
Skintime with Jenna & Craig's Healing Hands originated inside another Folsom Salon, but we dreamed of one day having our own location.
Craig & I worked really well together, had the same work ethic, and shared a true passion for performing our health and wellness services.
We divinely found Bellus Spa as our opportunity and didn't waste any time making it our own.
We ultimately want to provide the most beautiful, clean, and inviting environment along with the highest quality of care and education that our guests are always eager to come back for.
What's something you wish people knew about your business?
We are scheduled by appointment only. Walk ins are not taken, unfortunately.
However, we both utilize easy to use online booking systems & it helps to plan ahead a couple weeks prior to your visit to get your preferred day & time. Check out Craig's booking system and my booking system.
Also, the restroom does not accommodate wheelchair access.
What's the biggest compliment you've received?
Well, this is tough as my clients are incredibly kind to me, even bringing and referring the people they love most to experience my care.
They tell me I have greatly improved their lives and wouldn’t be the same without me.
My reviews on Yelp and Groupon bring me to tears as they are so heart warming and loving when they express their gratitude for my services.
Are you involved with or do you support any local nonprofits, community organizations or causes?
In addition to the annual donation, a portion of all of the skincare products I use for treatments and retail to clients goes towards the I Care for Skin Foundation.
I also donate gift certificates regularly that support Folsom High school Fundraisers, Eskaton Senior Living Facilities, & Sober Living.
And of course, any event or fundraiser held in the Historic District is advertised at our entrance and at the checkout desk.
Why did you choose to be in the Historic District?
We wanted to keep our businesses in Folsom near our clients and we absolutely love the historic community. The people here have such a sparkling and attractive energy, the streets are clean and welcoming, the parking garage is a great for convenience, and all of the events and activities here make it so special.
I walk out every evening thinking “wow, I get to be here!” I love it and it’s the best decision I have ever made.
My business is doing better than ever and I am incredibly grateful to be a part of the Historic District & to have my business sign hanging over it.
Are you a member of the chamber or any other networking organizations?
I’m not a member but do stay up-to-date through my email about chamber events.
I’m also a meetup member for a Woman’s Entrepreneur Group.
Do you have any upcoming events, specials or new products/services that people should know about?
I'm in the process of formulating my very own rose scented avocado oil as a full body moisturizer that I will have available for retail by Fall. This is one of my best practices of caring for the entire skin and works wonders for spray tans.
I’m dressing up my wax services with specialty products that have guests leaving with the freshest, clean smelling smooth skin. Come and find out how we “Love our Muffs.”
Also now available, CELLUMA LIGHT THERAPY. NASA scientists have created a LED panel that is FDA approved to treat Acne & Wrinkles. Sessions are 30 minutes long and only cost an additional $30 to add to any skin treatment.
